Florida Hospitality Architect & Design Services

OPA Design Studio is a Florida hospitality architect serving breweries, distilleries, restaurants, developers, and experience-driven businesses throughout the state. We create architecture that brings together memorable guest experiences, efficient operations, and the long-term needs of growing hospitality brands.

Florida’s hospitality market offers opportunities for craft beverage destinations, restaurants, entertainment venues, and commercial developments. From Orlando and Tampa to Jacksonville, Miami, and communities throughout the state, we help businesses develop distinctive places where people gather, explore, and return.

Our experience includes brewery and taproom design, distillery architecture, restaurant development, adaptive reuse, commercial spaces, and destination-driven hospitality projects. Whether transforming an existing property, developing a new concept, or expanding an established business, we approach each project with an understanding of the relationship between design, operations, and the customer experience.

Based in Austin and licensed to practice architecture in Florida, OPA supports projects from early feasibility and programming through architectural design, permitting coordination, construction documentation, and construction administration. Our experience with Deadwords Brewing in Orlando demonstrates the specialized industry knowledge we bring to Florida’s craft beverage and hospitality market.

Home State Brew Co. | Winter Garden, Florida

Bringing Brewery Production and Hospitality Together at Hamlin Town Center

Home State Brewing represents the intersection of craft beverage production, hospitality architecture, and destination-driven design. Located within Hamlin Town Center in Winter Garden, Florida, the project was envisioned as a brewery and gathering destination combining a production facility, tasting room, and outdoor beer garden.

The proposed development included approximately 5,800 square feet of interior space and an additional 1,800 square feet of outdoor patio within a larger mixed-use commercial development. The challenge was to bring the operational demands of a working brewery together with an inviting customer experience while working within the constraints of an existing commercial shell.

OPA Design Studio’s architectural scope addressed the relationship between production equipment, cold storage, packaging, service areas, and public gathering spaces. The design approach considered how the brewery would function behind the scenes while creating opportunities for guests to connect with the brand through the tasting room, bar, and outdoor environment.

Planning also required careful consideration of building modifications, equipment coordination, accessibility, permitting requirements, and the relationship between the tenant space and surrounding development. These considerations are especially important for brewery and hospitality projects where production efficiency and the customer experience must operate together.

Home State Brewing demonstrates the specialized knowledge OPA brings to Florida brewery architecture and hospitality design. From early feasibility and space planning through detailed architectural coordination, the project illustrates how thoughtful design can support both the practical demands of a craft beverage business and the experience that brings customers through its doors.
