Arizona Architecture for Hospitality, Makers & Experiences

Arizona is built for experiences. From Scottsdale’s hospitality destinations and Phoenix’s evolving commercial districts to neighborhood restaurants, breweries, and gathering places across the state, the most memorable spaces offer more than a place to visit. They give people a reason to return.

OPA Design Studio brings architecture, operational thinking, and brand-driven design together to create destinations that work as well as they look.

Whether you’re developing a new restaurant, expanding a brewery, transforming an existing building, or bringing a hospitality concept to life, we help turn ambitious ideas into places people want to experience.

Desert Hills Brewing Co.

Cave Creek, Arizona | Brewery & Hospitality Architecture

Bringing Craft Brewing and Hospitality Together in Cave Creek

Currently under construction in Cave Creek, Arizona, Desert Hills Brewing Co. is an approximately 8,000-square-foot brewery and hospitality development designed to bring craft beer production, dining, and outdoor gathering spaces together in one destination.

The project combines the technical requirements of a working brewery with the atmosphere of a welcoming restaurant and beer garden. The architectural design incorporates a brewhouse, tasting room, bar, kitchen, retail space, and dedicated production and storage areas, balancing operational efficiency with the guest experience.

A key consideration throughout the design process was the relationship between production and hospitality. From brewing equipment placement and utility coordination to the organization of dining areas and outdoor patios, each component required thoughtful planning to support both daily operations and the overall visitor experience.

The development also emphasizes the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces, creating opportunities for guests to gather, dine, and enjoy craft beer in a setting that reflects Cave Creek’s distinctive Arizona character.

Desert Hills Brewing Co. represents an exciting addition to the region’s growing craft beverage and hospitality landscape, bringing together specialized brewery architecture, functional design, and spaces built around community.
